Founded as the Dodge Brothers Company in 1900, Dodge began as a parts and assembly supplier to other car makers, with production on completed vehicles beginning in 1915.
After the brothers died suddenly in 1920, the company was sold to Dillon, Read & Co, then to Chrysler in 1928.
The 1960s and 1970s was all about “muscle cars” for Dodge, and saw the release of the Coronet, the Super Bee, and the Charger. Dodge is also well-known for trucks, such as the Dodge Ram.
Dodge supply was discontinued in Australia in 1973, but re-entered the market in 2006.
