Founded in 1929 in Germany, Borgward’s first success on the automarket was also its first foray into motor vehicles, the 924 Blitzkarren, a tiny three-wheeled van.
In 1954, the Borgward Isabella became the company’s most popular model. Despite pioneering mechanical advances such as air suspension and automatic transmission, Borgward’s high cost structure led to a forced bankruptcy in 1961, overshadowing the company’s vehicle production.
In 2008, however, the grandson of Carl F. W. began work on the revival of Borgward in the form of a concept car.
To ensure your vehicle performs at its peak; Kmart Tyre & Auto Service offer a range of tyres to suit almost all Borgward models.
