Replace Your Tyres

To preserve your car's handling and stopping performance, your tyres should be replaced when the tread thickness goes below 1.5mm. There must be at least 1.5 mm of tread remaining across the entire surface that comes in contact with the road; this is not only a legal requirement but also an important safety factor.

All our Service Centres have trained personnel who can check your tyre condition and measure the tread depth if you are unsure. To find out about tyres click here.

Maintain Tyre Pressure

Tyre pressure should be checked regularly and is one of the most important things you can do to promote maximum performance, economy and safety from your tyres. Under-inflated tyres can cause premature tyre wear and affect steering and braking performance, over-inflated tyres exhibit similar characteristics. The recommended pressure can usually be found on the vehicle tyre placard and is provided by the vehicle manufacturer; alternatively you may consult one of our Service Centres for professional advice. Rotate Your Tyres

The front and rear wheels of your vehicle operate under different conditions and as a result wear at different rates. To even out the wear and obtain the best possible life from your tyres they should be rotated on a regular basis. We recommend rotating your tyres every 10,000km and offer this service FREE with our Tyrelife Saver Card when you purchase 2 or more tyres. To find out about tyres click here.

Fitting Your Tyres

Wheels and rims should always be checked to ensure they are in a serviceable condition. New tubeless valves should be fitted with every new tyre. Tyres must always be electronically balanced to prevent vibration and uneven wear. When fitting only two tyres, it is recommended that they are fitted to the rear provided they are the same construction as the remaining tyres. To find out about tyres click here.
