We have completed the roll out to our network of the latest generation diagnostic tools from Snap-On Tools. Training to increase the skills of our qualified mechanics in the use of these will be rolled out nationally early in 2015.
The first module of this training focuses on guided scan-tool diagnostics. This will be followed by future service fundamentals and modern drivetrain service and repair. Investing in efficient, well trained teams is a key pillar within our business. Through quality training and quality workmanship we aim to raise the bar when it comes to fixing cars the right way, and keep our customers on the road for longer.
About Snap-On Tools
Snap-on Tools are the choice of professional technicians around the world, they spend each year over $50mil on research and development on over 19,000 products in their range. They have been in Australia and New Zealand for over 25 years and internationally for over 90 years.
A scan tool is connected to the vehicle's data link connector (DLC) and can read out diagnostic trouble codes. These are essential items as vehicles become more technological and less mechanical.
